Highlights from Past Years
2015 – Year 1
Our very first attempt. Just a heartfelt post on social media—and we were overwhelmed by all your love.
We delivered backpacks, water bottles, handwritten postcards, and donated clothing to 950 children in Xinchang, Qilong, and Xiangyang Elementary Schools.
2016 – Year 2
Thanks to teamwork and support, we brought backpacks to 628 children at Haizi Township Central Elementary School and Xiangyang Elementary school. Later that year in November, we delivered more to nearly 600 children in Dashi Village Elementary, Ganduoluogu Elementary, and Shuping Elementary.
2018 – Year 4
We arrived at Xingfu Elementary, Wuya Elementary, Yongjiu Elementary, and Lianhe Elementary, in Bijie, Guizhou. Gifted 1,059 children in 4 schools with backpacks and supplies.
2019 – Year 5
In Dege, deep in the Ganzi region, we reached 720 children with backpacks and warmth.
2017 – Year 3
We went to Danba maoniu Elementary, JiasiJiasiguan Muye school, Badi Elementary and delivered “Love-packs” to 860 children, filled with watercolor pens, water bottles, and sketchbooks. Also, each school received sports gear based on the number of kids there and one basic medical room.
2020 – Year 6
We returned to Yiliang, Yunnan, where the project first began after we filtered 30+ schools. We sent Love-Packs to Qilong Elementary and Xiangyang Elementary in 2016. Even though buildings have been improved, basic conditions haven’t changed much. There’s new first grade to fourth grade kids, and that was why we planned to go back to Yiliang when the economy was not good in 2020.
630 students from three schools received backpacks, pens, bottles, scarves, gloves, dictionaries, umbrellas, and more.
We also supplied medical kits, sports equipment, and educational tools.
2021 – Year 7
We went to Shangsuoba Elementary and Mangbu Village Elementary at the border of Dege and Shiqu with an average of 4500 meters of elevation.
These villages had little exposure to the outside world. Only 138 students are here. Most adults only spoke basic Mandarin.
We witnessed those children transformed from shy into smiling dancers and singers while spending more time with them. In the beginning, the language barrier was an issue, as well as the first-time meeting strangers outside the village. When it was time to leave, they held our hands and hugged us tightly. Many volunteers shed tears that day.
So, we returned in 2021, to bring more love.
2022 – Year 8
We visited 497 students in Maerkang Caodeng Township Elementary, Zhuokeji Elementary and Kangshan Elementary and brought backpacks and supplies. We also brought full winter uniforms, to 331 children for Zhuokeji Elementary and Kangshan Elementary. All three schools were equipped with medical rooms and sports gear.
2023 – Year 9
Let’s bring our love to Shiqu together!
